child’s writing portfolio is in their cubby in the hallway. We will pull selected work to add to it, monthly. Their other work will come home in their
Thursday folder.

week we…

Learned
the parts of a book cover: Author: wrote the book, Illustrator: drew the
pictures, Title: the name of the book, Picture: gives a hint about the
story, Spine: the skinny part that holds the book together.

Reviewed
the letter S, and learned about the letter M. When making the M, mmm sound
our lips are sealed, there is no air.
We also practiced writing capital M, and lower case m.
·
Stretched
out our stories by adding details to the pictures. We are working on using shapes when
drawing people, not straight lines.
